By admin | August 2, 2011

With U.S. smart phone adoption at 35% and rising, Nonprofits are looking for ways to leverage this communication channel. Whether used for marketing/fundraising, news/updates or just pure entertainment, these devices are playing an important role in attracting new donors, spurring emotional giving and communicating important updates to a nonprofit’s donor base.

In this new era, QR (Quick Response) Codes have emerged as a unique way for nonprofits to use smart phones to interact with their constituents - And they are finally beginning to see critical adoption by nonprofits. Of course, right now, everyone is still grappling with how to use them effictively. Just today, I discovered an article that describes QR Code technology in a very straightforward manner. It also lists 22 unque ways for nonprofits to use them. If you’re interested, I encourage you to take a look at this article.

Also, please feel encouraged to post your opinion on the impact of QR codes to this blog… Success and failure stories alike are appreciated.
